Last summer I should have performed a ‘go around’ but I didn’t…

Returning back from the IOW after I long day the shorter runway was in use at Wellesbourne, which was most favourable due to the wind direction. Runway 23 at Wellesbourne is rarely used, and I’ve only landed in that direction a few times over the last 10 years.

We took off that day on runway 18, so I wasn’t expecting it too.

As you can see from finals I was too fast, too high, landed too late, had a near miss prop strike, and just about made the taxiway before ending in the field!

I wouldn’t normally share something like this, but one of the reasons I film my flights is to review what I do, learn from it, and share the experience on the channel. So I know this is embarrassing to share but don’t make mistakes like this.
