500 and counting…

SOUTH SAINT PAUL, Minnesota — Wipaire delivered its 500th set of 2100A floats in March 2021. They were installed on an Aviat A-1C-180 Husky.

The Wipline 2100As are available as amphibious or seaplane and feature:

High bow buoyance and higher deadrise angle on forward bottoms for improved handling in wind and choppy water,Flat, non-skid coated top decks,Two large float hatches, each with 50 pounds carrying capacity,Aluminum skins and parts are laser cut with pre-punched rivet holes, making repairs easy, company officials note.

For over 60 years, Wipaire has been engineering and manufacturing a full line of aircraft floats for all sizes of aircraft from the Aviat Husky to the Viking Twin Otter, including most single-engine Cessna aircraft. Additionally, Wipaire has engineered more than 100 Supplemental Type Certificated modifications. Wipaire offers maintenance, avionics installation and repair, custom interior design and installation, and exterior paint refinishing.
